The pressure has been building for the past 3 years and a release of the energies is inevitable, as in the case of an earthquake on fault lines.
It’s past the point of if a new order will emerge, but rather when…
Don’t fear change; embrace opening the windows of opportunities it brings, the excitement that rises, the endless possibilities for you to feel that today you can do something you didn’t think possible yesterday. – Magzink Continue Reading →
so here we are… 2 years of experimenting, 9 months of learning about blogging and how one can turn a hobby into a source of income and 3 months of hammering at it… I feel like I’m across the world of knowledge from where I started, and that there’s still so much to learn and implement. Out of all that I have learnt so far, staying consistent is by far the most critical.
writing with a purpose
finding keywords/topics/niche that people are searching for,
distributing your content
keep it to the point but no shorter than needs to be
build a relationship and trust with your audience
collect an email list…
are all up there, but I can see how when blogging is just a side project one can get distracted, forgetful and eventually discouraged from pushing it past the initial hump.
There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs (surely you’ve heard it before!)
I recently came upon this blog which I found to be a great example of how someone has managed to build up a nice little empire that produces him a fairly steady stream of income, blog by Pat Flynn “The Smart Passive Income“
Pat Flynn wrote his blog in a manner that I appreciate: no bullshit, clearly laid out, informative and helpful; no smoke and mirrors, just a concise overview of what he does and what you can do to achieve his level of success with making a passive income through blogging.
The guy makes in one month, what I make in a year… no joke.
The key is to know that it is possible, but like every new field you enter, it will take some time and a fair amount of effort to get to a level where you want to be.
Some people are petrified of change; I crave it, I embrace it, I get-off on it!
It occurred to me that in the 3 decades of being alive, roughly every 11 years a massive life-quake occurs that sends shock waves throughout the various areas of my life.
At the moment, I feel an eerie calm before the big one… I know it’s inevitable, and I am not afraid, in fact, I’m awaiting the breaking point for I know, the tension needs to be released and a new order must result.
At 11 I moved from Poland to Canada; at 22 I moved from Vancouver to Whistler; at 33 I plan to be moving away from Whistler …
will that be the case?
Making the Decision to Make a Change
Sometime life itself or other character in our life make the decision for us. Sometimes we wish they’d make it for us as it would take the pressure off our hands…
I have a close friend who has been in a relation-shit for the past 2 years. I know it’s done, she knows its done… everyone knows its done, yet neither one has the guts to pull the trigger, instead they do their very best to point fingers and make each other miserable.
Fear of failure (in the eyes of others)… fear of being alone? maybe they get off on feeling unhappy? who knows and to be perfectly honest, after 2 years of listening to the same thing over and over again, I asked my friend not to bring it up cause (as any good friend would) I will ignore and not pay attention to any world she says.
Don’t just talk about it; do something about it!
I’m under the impression that life is really too short to be wasting it walking around in a circle, or Figure 8, as Ellie Goulding sings… (between you and me, that song’s been on repeat in my house for the past 2 days…)
I See the Big Picture and A Very Vivid Focal Point on the Horizon
In The Great Gatsby, Gatsby manages to overcome and achieve extraordinary things in an effort to attain a self proclaimed goal.
If there’s a will, there’s a way.
I have believed that all my life, as it has not yet failed to be true.
Moving On in Life
Change is good. It allows one for metamorphosis; shedding of skin; a rebirth.
Envisioning, feeling, seeing yourself and your world after the change will help to overcome any petty obstacles.
I had my epiphany about 2 weeks ago and since then, I’ve been on cloud 9.
At the moment my goal is simple and having dissected my big-picture goal into a small baby-step program, I am certain of it’s success.
Making an income on line allow me that freedom… and for that, I cannot imagine making my living any other way. The goal is $300 a day in earning, 365 days a year.
Thankfully, with the job I have, no matter where I am in the world, I can definitely sustain myself on $300 a day. Enough said, time to get’er done!
